Vellore

Well, I made it safe and sound to Vellore. A driver picked me up from the airport in Chennai and managed to avoid all the obstacles in the road to deliver me safely to my home for the next two months. What kind of obstacles you ask? People. Motorcycles. Auto-rickshaws. Cows. The cows didn't seem to be bothered too much by all the traffic either. Very weird.

My room is simple - I have a desk, a bed and bathroom. Nothing fancy. I'm a short walk to the medical college campus where they have a store and a small canteen for eating. They also have a library on campus where I'm currently using the internet.

I'm finalizing my schedule today and I believe I will get to go to the hospital tomorrow - I'm anxious to start working as I'm starting to get a little bored with so much time on my hands. For now, it's reading for pleasure with just a little studying mixed in. By the way, I'm currently unable to upload pictures of my own, so I stole this one from the internet. It's the front of the Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore. Lovely isn't it?
